Frequently asked questions
How do I fix a subtitle delay?
Use Shift all timestamps. Enter seconds: positive numbers make captions appear later and negative numbers earlier. For example, 0.5 delays every caption by half a second.
What if a shift makes times negative?
The entire shift is refused. No captions are changed. Choose a smaller shift or adjust individual captions.
How do I fix subtitles that drift further out of sync?
Open Correct gradual timing drift. Choose two matching moments near the beginning and end, then enter the subtitle and video times for each. This applies a proportional adjustment to all captions. Check both references and review the result; the change can be undone.
Does this automatically align captions to audio?
No. It shifts existing times using the offset you choose. It does not listen to audio or perform automatic audio alignment.
